Privacy policy
Updated September 28, 2026
Secnd Studio (“Secnd”, “we”) is a design studio registered in Ontario and based in Toronto, run by Carol and Cynthia Ugwu. This policy explains what personal information we collect through secnd.studio, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.
We follow Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). We only collect what we need to reply to you and run a project, and we never sell it.
What we collect
When you book a call, the form asks for your name, email, company, website, the packages and add-ons you picked, your timeframe and a description of your project. Your name, email, package and timeframe are required. Cal.com also records the time you choose.
When you email us, we receive whatever you include in the message.
Like any website, our host keeps short-lived server logs of visits (your IP address, browser and the page requested) to run and secure the site.
We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits: which pages are viewed, the referring site, and your country, browser and device type. It uses no cookies and doesn’t identify you or follow you across other websites. We don’t use tracking pixels or advertising tools.
How we use it
To schedule and prepare for your call, reply to you, write a proposal, and, if we work together, run the project and invoice for it. We won’t add you to a mailing list or use your details for anything unrelated without asking first.
Who else handles it
A few services handle information for us, only to do their part: Cal.com (scheduling and the booking form), Vercel (hosting this website and counting visits) and Google Workspace (our email). Each has its own privacy policy and security measures.
These services may store information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it is subject to local law and may be accessed by courts or authorities there.
We don’t sell, rent or trade personal information, and we only share it with anyone else if the law requires us to.
Cookies
This site doesn’t set cookies of its own. When the booking calendar loads, Cal.com may set cookies it needs to work; see Cal.com’s privacy policy for details.
How long we keep it
If a call doesn’t lead to a project, we delete your details within 12 months. For clients, we keep project and billing records for as long as the work needs them and Canadian tax law requires, usually up to six years.
Your choices
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, and you can withdraw your consent at any time (we just may not be able to keep working together without it). Email us and we’ll reply within 30 days.
If you’re not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
Security
We keep information in accounts protected by strong passwords and two-step verification, and only the two of us have access. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach puts your information at real risk of significant harm, we’ll tell you promptly and report it to the Privacy Commissioner as the law requires.
Changes
If we change how we handle personal information, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
